Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about date math.

How does ChronoCalc calculate exact age?
It compares calendar years, months, and days first, then calculates total elapsed units from the underlying timestamps. This avoids treating every month as the same length.
Does it send my birth date anywhere?
No. All calculations happen locally in your browser. The app has no backend and works offline after installation or the first cached visit.
How are leap-day birthdays handled?
For non-leap years, the next birthday is treated as February 28. You can change this behavior in the JavaScript helper if your preferred convention is March 1.
What counts as a business day?
ChronoCalc counts Monday through Friday as business days and Saturday/Sunday as weekend days. Public holidays are not excluded because holiday calendars vary by country.
Are the fun statistics medical measurements?
No. Heartbeats, breathing, sleep, and walking values are illustrative estimates based on clearly stated averages—not personal health data or medical advice.
