Scan QR codes from a camera, photo or screenshot
A QR code can contain a website address, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, an email action, a phone number or another structured instruction. This tool helps you inspect that content before acting on it.
Scanning with your camera
Select Camera, press Start camera and grant permission. Hold the QR code inside the guide, keep the device steady and use even lighting. Camera access requires HTTPS, which is supported on the published kawshik.dev page.
Scanning a saved image
Select Image and choose a screenshot or photo. You can also drag the image onto the upload area or copy a screenshot and paste it into the page. For reliable detection, use an image where the complete QR code and its light border are visible.

Is this QR code scanner free?
Yes. You can scan and generate QR codes without creating an account or paying a fee.
Are my camera images uploaded?
The application processes camera frames and selected images in your browser. It does not intentionally send their contents to a Kawshik.dev server. The third-party QR libraries are loaded from jsDelivr and then run locally.
Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot?
Yes. Open the Image tab, select the screenshot, drag it into the drop zone or paste it from your clipboard.
Why is my QR code not scanning?
Make sure the complete code is visible, the image is in focus, the lighting is even and there is a clear margin around the code. Try moving the camera slightly farther away.
Can I create a Wi-Fi QR code?
Yes. Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name, security type and password, then download the generated code. Treat the QR image like the password itself.
Should I use PNG or SVG?
PNG is ideal for websites, chats and social media. SVG stays sharp at any size and is usually better for print or professional design layouts.
